Queer Film and Literature in Syria

Yara Mayasa delivers insight into queer novels and films of syrian artists. Mayasa is a Syrian educator & activist for Arab LGBTQI rights in Syria & Turkey. In April 2015 she fled to Turkey, but after attacs by the Turkish police with tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannons to participants of CSD Istanbul she left to Germany, still fighting for LGBTQI rights specially in arab countries.
